Hello my dear readers!
I am still coming down from the high that I experienced last night. It was my friend's birthday, so I had her and a few other friends over for pre-drinks before heading out to the bar. Yes, I know I always say I hate the bar... but I ALWAYS have the time of my life when I'm with these two. I don't know what it is about them... they help bring out the goofy side of me or something. Anyway last night was no different.
We started out drinking at my place. I took it somewhat easy because I wanted to drive. After my last post you can understand why cab fare is not in my budget lol. Which, as a side note, I'm doing great so far! I get paid on Thursday and still have $25 in my bank account--lol. I've got a long road a head of me before I get my first "extra" paycheque and get back on track, but so far I'm doing okay and I'm very happy with myself! Anyway, I didn't drink too much, however I did shotgun a beer with everyone before we left. I'm very proud of myself, I did much better than I did at Ness Creek. I'm sure it helped that I wasn't drinking shitty beer lol. I finished my whole beer... not all in one chug, but I still finished it! Progress is progress lol. Did I mention we did the shotgunning in my bathtub? I'm glad we did... it got kinda messy lol. This morning I cleaned the beer off the ceiling and walls... lol. Fun times.
At the bar we met up with some other people. There was a girl there that I recognized... her ex played ball with my best friend. I asked her about it and she said "yeah we broke up"....... SCORE!!! I thought she was hot from the first time I saw her, but at the time she was taken so I had to keep my hands off. And the best thing is, the first time I met her was in daylight and I was sober, so I feel safe knowing it wasn't another beer goggles incident... *shudders* Anyway I found out through my friends that she was interested in someone else... and to make a long story short they ended up making out before the night was over. However... this someone else wasn't interested in her... it was basically just a bar make-out session. So I'm not too worried. She did mention that she likes making out... a lot... and is known for it. That's awesome because I'm also quite the fan of making out :P It's funny because I'm at the point now where I would probably take whatever I can get. I don't mean that in a slutty or desperate way either... I still have standards and I'm still very picky about who I like, but if all it ends up being is a bar make-out session... well that's better than nothing lol. I like being single... I like my freedom. But I also get lonely. So taking what I can get is kind of like the best of both worlds. I didn't bother asking for her number because she was too preoccupied with this other person. But now that I know she's single and I know who she hangs out with... we'll see. Regardless, it was a great night last night!
Nothing else really exciting to share with you. The guitar playing is still coming along nicely and I'm about half done my Christmas shopping. Oh and I LOVE my haircut!! It feels so much better now! Busy week next week... driving out of town for a concert Thursday night, get to see my best buddy and then coming home for my staff Christmas party on Friday. That should be interesting to say the least lol.
